Facebook: Top 100 European clubs with the most fans (January 2017)

With 95.42 million fans, FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) are the most followed European club on Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football of the Top 100 of the most popular European clubs on this social network, as of 02/01/2017.

Barcelona remain ahead of Real Madrid CF, which count 93.93 million fans on Facebook. The podium is completed by Manchester United FC (Premier League), with 72.11 million Facebook fans. With more than 908,100 new fans in the past month, Real Madrid are the Top 5 who gained most new fans in December 2016.

VFL Wolfsburg (Bundesliga, +3.2%) are the club with the highest percentage growth of the Top 100 European clubs in the past month, ahead of OGC Nice (Ligue 1, +2.5%) and AFC Bournemouth (Premier League, +2.2%).

In December 2016, Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) became the 12^th club to cross the threshold of 15 million fans on Facebook. Each European Top 5 league has at least one club over 15 million followers.
