Ligue 1: handover from Michel Seydoux to Gerard Lopez as the head of LOSC Lille on 13/01/2017

"Gérard Lopez and Michel Seydoux will, this Friday, 13/01/2017, at 15:30 at Domaine de Luchin (LOSC headquarters), hold a joint press conference. All media are invited to attend this event which will officially mark the handover from Michel Seydoux to Gerard Lopez," announced LOSC Lille (Ligue 1) on 11/01/2017.

Gerard Lopez, Spanish-Luxembourg businessman of the investment company Genii Group and Nekton, a company specialising in trading and investment in fossil fuels, had entered into exclusive negotiations with Michel Seydoux, president and majority shareholder of LOSC Lille, for the takeover of club on 16/10/2016. The LOSC Lille supervisory board delivered a favourable opinion on takeover proposal on 12/12/2016. Michel Seydoux and Gerard Lopez signed a memorandum of understanding on 22/12/2016.
