UEFA: Nike, adidas, and Puma comprise 49% of supplier contracts of the 16 major leagues

Nike (43 clubs), adidas (41), and Puma (19) are the three most represented kit manufacturers in the 16 European football leagues which generate the most revenue (see below) in 2016-17, according to UEFA in its eighth club licensing benchmarking report on European football, published on 12/01/2017.

These three sports equipment brands thus comprise 49% of the football club kit supplier market in the 16 leagues considered. The next brands are the Italian group Macron (15 clubs, 7%), the Spanish company Joma (12 clubs, 5.8%) and the American brand Umbro (10 clubs, 4.9%).

Regarding the football federations of European countries, adidas equips 24 national teams, followed by Nike (12), and Puma (5). These three brands comprise and 74.5% of the kit supplier contracts of the 55 member associations of UEFA.
