England: Nick Bitel reappointed to Sport England chairman duties until 2021

Nick Bitel has been reappointed to Sport England chairman duties, the British organisation responsible for promoting sport, until 04.21.2021, announced Karen Bradley, the British Secretary of State for Culture, Media, and Sport on 12/01/2017. Nick Bitel has held this position since 22/04/2013.

Nick Bitel is CEO of London Marathon Events, the company which has organised the London Marathon since 1995. This sporting event that generates more than £50m (about €57.5 million on 18/01/2017) annually, which is donated thereafter to charity.

He also consults for Kerman & Co, a company specialised in sports law. The chairman of Sport England receives remuneration of £40,000 (about €46,000) per year.
