Real Betis: turnover of €51m (x 2.5) and net profit of €3.98m (x 2.6) in 2015-16

Real Betis Balompié (LaLiga Santander) posted a turnover of €51.05m for the 2015-16 fiscal year (from 01/07/2015 to 30/06/2016), almost 2.5 times more than during the 2014-15 financial year (€20.8m), the Sevilla-based club announced on 19/10/2016.

The increase in the Andalusian club's revenue (+€30.25m) is largely due to audiovisual revenues (+€24.14m), multiplied by 3.35 from 2014-15 (€10.3m) - a season in which the club was played in the Spanish second division (Liga Adelante) - to 2015-16 (€34.4m), when the club returned to the Liga BBVA. This return to the first division also produced a doubling of the payroll (from €18.5m to €37.6m) and other operating expenses (from €5.7m to €10.3m).

This increase in revenue allowed Real Betis to record an operating profit of €0.9m on 30/06/2016, against a loss of €3m one year earlier. The club closed the 2015-16 fiscal year with a net profit of €3.98m, multiplied by 2.6 compared to 2014-15 (€1.54m).
