Netherlands" Eredivisie launches "E-Divisie" eSports competition, in partnership with EA Sports

Fans of the 18 clubs in the Eredivisie can, from 06/02/2017, participate in the E-Divisie, eSports competition organised by Eredivisie CV, the commercial branch of the Dutch League, in partnership with the American video game developer EA Sports and the television production group Endemol, announced the Eredivisie on 18/01/2017. Each Eredivisie club must freely choose one player who will represent the team in the E-Divisie competition.

The E-Divisie will be contested using the FIFA 17 football simulation game, published by EA Sports, via the "Ultimate Team" mode, on two game consoles: Xbox One (Microsoft) and Playstation 4 (Sony). There will be 17 rounds of gaming, after which each participant will have faced all others one time, and will be broadcast on Twitch, YouTube, and Fox Sports. The champion of the E-Divisie will qualify for the European Championship at the end of the season, the Ultimate Team Regional Final. More details will be available on the E-Divisie 01/02/2017.
