Turkey: Indian company HCL ME Tablet to sponsor Galatasaray in 2013/14

Indian electronics company HCL ME Tablet has agreed to sponsor Galatasaray (Turkish champions in 2012/13), the Istanbul-based club announced on the 01/08/2013. The logo of the Indian brand will appear on the players shorts during the 2013/14 season. HCL ME Tablet replaces Japanese company Nikon, whose contract ended in July 2013.

The amount of the sponsorship reaches €1.3 million for 2013/14. The agreement also includes the sponsorship of Galatasaray men's volleyball team. Under the agreement, the company will design a special version of its tablet with the club colors.

"HCL ME Tablet is leading the tablet market in the Middle East and Turkey will play a key role in the distribution of our products to Europe. The country represents our most expensive investment. Such cooperation with Galatasaray is a decisive step to achieve our goal," said Srinath Nagarajan, Regional Director Europe, Middle East, Africa at HCL ME Tablet.
