beIN Sports France: one month pass (€ 1.99) and one week pass (€ 0.99) for the beIN Ligue 1 app

The price of the monthly subscription to the Ligue 1 beIN application has down from €3.99 to €1.99, announced beIN Sports France on 20/01/2017. The pay-TV channel also now offers a new subscription for one week only, for €0.99.

The Ligue 1 beIN application provides access to key actions and highlights from all matches in Ligue 1 "near live". It also provides summaries of all matches and each matchday, available all season. The application has been available from the first day of the 2016-17 season (on 12/08/2016) in order to enhance Lot 6 of the domestic TV rights to the French first division for the 2016-2020 cycle.

beIN Sports France acquired Lots 3, 4, 5, and 6 of the domestic rights to Ligue 1 for the 2016-2020 cycle to €186.5m per year, on 04/04/2014. Lot 6, "Ligue 1 on demand", includes rights to key actions and highlights "near-live" to all matches, and magazine rights for video on demand.

• The "near-live" concept is content broadcast 30 seconds after each key action.
