Bundesliga: attendance for Matchday 17 of 2016-17, Schalke - Freiburg draws 58,004 spectators

Matchday 17 of the 2016-2017 Bundesliga season - the first of the 2017 year - drew an average of 32,755 spectators per game, for an average stadium fill rate of 94%, from 20 to 22/01/2017. The average attendance of the German league is currently 41,202 fans per game on the season (average fill rate: 93%).

Schalke 04 - Freiburg (1-1) recorded the best attendance of the weekend, with 58,004 spectators at the Veltins-Arena (fill rate: 93%). However, this mark is the worst home attendance of the season for the Gelsenkirchen club.

Only four games of Matchday 17 drew more than 30,000 spectators, but all games posted an fill rate above 80%.

  • The 18 Bundesliga clubs recorded recorded an average of 43,325 spectators per game in 2015-16.
    • Average stadium rate: 93%.
