Cristiano Ronaldo has extended his contract with Real Madrid (Liga) by three seasons for an estimated €17m annual salary, on the 15/09/2013. The Portuguese striker, whose current contract was due to end at the end of the 2014/15 season, was paid €10m per year. The new contract represents a 59% increase.

His new salary is the second highest in the world, after Samuel Eto'o, who perceived a €20m annual net salary at Anji Makhachkala (Russia) between 2011 and 2013.
