Matchday revenue: Manchester United top in 2015-16 (€137.5m), five clubs above the €100m mark

Manchester United FC (Premier League) are the club which generated the most matchday revenue in football, with €137.5m during the 2015-16 season, according to figures from the 2017 edition of the Deloitte Football Money League, published by the British office of the audit and consulting firm on 19/01/2017.

The English club, which also ranked first in total revenue in the 2017 Deloitte Football Money League, saw its matchday revenue grow by 20.6% in 2015-16 compared to 2014-15 (€114m). Manchester United posted an average attendance of 75,279 spectators per game in the Premier League in 2015-16, the third-best average mark in the European Top 5 leagues.

In 2014-15, Manchester United (4th with €114m) had been behind three clubs in terms of matchday revenue, all of whom are follow the Manchester club in 2015-16: Arsenal FC (Premier League, 2nd, €133.6m), Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander, 3rd, €129m), and FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander, 4th, €121.4m). FC Bayern Munich, 5th in matchday revenue in 2015-16 with €101.8m, round out the five clubs above the €100m mark.
