Villarreal CF: seven ceramic manufacturers acquire naming rights to the Estadio de la Cerámica

A group of companies which specialise in the production of ceramics in the region of Vila-real (Castellón, ESP) have acquired the naming rights to the Estadio El Madrigal of Villarreal CF (LaLiga Santander), on 08/01/2017. The 25,000-seater enclosure is now known as "Estadio de la Cerámica" (Stadium of Ceramics), as ceramics is one of the specialties of the province of Castellón (eastern Spain).

The amount of the naming rights contract is €3m for the remainder of the 2016-17 season, and €8m per season from 2017-18. The duration of this partnership was not disclosed. Seven companies have banded together to acquire the rights: Pamesa (property of Fernando Roig Alfonso, president of Villarreal CF), Porcelanosa and Argenta Ceramica, who have the status of main sponsors, and Tau Ceramica, Bestile, Esmalgass-Itaca, and Colorobbia, who are official sponsors.

The seven partners will be visible on LED boards and screens of "Estadio de la Cerámica," but also, eventually, on the entire façade of the enclosure. On the south stand of the stadium, a façade of yellow ceramic has been embedded…
