Ligue 1: Olympique Lyonnais launch an eSports team with a player and a manager for the FIFA game

Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1) have formalised the creation of the team OL eSports, which will represent the club in eSports competitions, on 30/01/2017.

Olympique Lyonnais have announced Fouad "Rafsou" Fares, vice-champion Acer Cup FIFA 16, as its first player and Romain "Imuhan" Serra as the manager of its eSports team. This team will be present at several competitions in February 2017, including the Tournoi de Printemps (Spring tournament) of the Orange e-Ligue 1, beginning on 22/02/2017.

"The creation of this eSports team is part of a larger project of Olympique Lyonnais to open up to new sectors, and the desire to get closer to the OL online community by sharing experiences around the world," said Jean-Michel Aulas, chairman of OL, on 30/01/2017.
