Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1) - Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1), 2-1 a.e.t., in the Round of 32 of the 2016-17 Coupe de France, drew on average 3.002 million viewers on France 3 on Tuesday, 31/01/2017 (kick-off at 21:05 CET). This figure represented an audience share of 13.9%, and ranked the public channel first in the French TV market for prime time of 31/01/2017.

"This is the best performance for aclub football match this season. The peak audience was reached at the end of regulation time (22:53), with almost 3.5 million viewers," stated the France Télévisions group on 01/02/2017.

Last season, Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1) - Montpellier HSC (Ligue 1), 2-0, in the Round of 32 of the 2015-16 Coupe de France, had drawn 2.05 million viewers on average on France 3, on Wednesday, 20/01/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET). Audience share: 8.8%.
