Facebook: 68.52 million fans in total for the 18 Bundesliga clubs (February 2017)

The 18 clubs in the 2016-17 Bundesliga season have cumulative 68.52 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/02/2016. The Bundesliga is the third most popular Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League and LaLiga Santander, with 3.8 million fans on average per club.

Bayern Munich remain the most followed German club, with 40.73 million fans, up 360,900 (+0.9%) compared to January 2017. The Bavarian club had more new followers than the 17 other Bundesliga clubs combined in January 2017.

At 3.6%, (from 2.55 to 2,65 million), Bayer 04 Leverkusen posted the best percentage growth rate on Facebook during the month. Leverkusen are among the four German clubs with over 2 million fans.
