Facebook: 215,790,000 fans in total for the 20 LaLiga Santander clubs (February 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander season have cumulative 215,790,000 fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/02/2017. This total makes LaLiga Santander the second most popular Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League, with 10.79 million fans on average per club.

FC Barcelona remain the most followed Spanish club, with 95.72 million fans, up 294,100 (+0.3%) compared to the beginning of January 2017. Number one in Europe, Barcelona are closely followed by Real Madrid CF (94.38 million fans, +0.5%), and who are the European club which drew the most new fans (+447,500) in the first month of 2017.

At 10.9%, (from 40,600 to 45,010), SD Eibar are the LaLiga Santander (and Top 5) club which posted the best percentage growth rate on Facebook between January and February 2017, but the club remain the second least followed in the Top 5 leagues.
