Facebook: list of Top 100 European clubs with the most fans (February 2017)

With 95.72 million fans, FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) are the most popular European club on Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football, which maintains a Top 100 list of the most popular European clubs on this social network, on 01/02/2017.

Barça remain ahead of its rival Real Madrid CF, who count 94.38 million fans on Facebook. With more than 447,500 new fans in the past month, Real Madrid are the club of the Top 5 leagues which drew the most new fans in January 2017. All European Top 5 leagues are represented in the Top 10 of the most followed clubs on Facebook, which is nonetheless dominated by the Premier League (4 clubs)

Three Turkish clubs in Istanbul, Galatasaray SK (14^th, 13.31 million), Fenerbahçe SK (15^th, 9.95 million) and Beşiktaş JK (20^th, 5.98 million) are only clubs in the Top 20 not from a Top 5 league.

In January 2017, AS Monaco (Ligue 1) became the 21^st club to reach the 4 million fans mark on Facebook. Hull City AFC (Premier League), for its part, crossed the one million mark, which ranks the club 49^th.
