The 20 clubs involved in the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander season have 50.73 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/02/2017. This makes LaLiga Santander the most popular Top 5 league on Twitter, with an average of 2.53 million followers per club.

Real Madrid CF are the most followed Spanish club, with 22 million subscribers, up 437,499 (+2%) compared to the beginning of January 2017.
