Twitter: LaLiga launches account in Arabic, adding to those in Spanish and English

The Spanish League has launched an official Twitter account in Arabic, on 06/02/2017. Two days after its launch, the @LaLigaArab account has over 15,000 followers.

"LaLiga goes one step further in its internationalisation strategy with its official Twitter account in Arabic to reach a potential audience of over 420 million people. This new official account comes with the ambition to offer the Arab world content unique and different for the millions of fans who follow our competition every day and are looking for information, reports, and exclusive interviews," stated LaLiga on 06/02/2017.

This account is the third one launched by the Spanish League, after those in Spanish and English. Until 28/01/2016, LaLiga's tweets were published in two languages, English and Spanish, on the same @LaLiga account. Since then, the Spanish League has launched an English version of its Twitter account (@LaLigaEN), which has more than 103,000 fans as of 08/02/2017.
