2013/14 Europa League: UEFA will distribute €208.75 million to the featuring clubs

UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) will distribute €208.75 million to clubs taking part in the 2013/14 Europa League, the European football governing body announced during the presentation of the 2013/14 revenue distribution system, on the 08/08/2013.

This amount partially derives from commercial sales generated by the competition (TV and sponsorship rights), which are estimated at €225 million. "Some 75% of the gross revenue from media rights and commercial contracts (ie€168.75 million) will go to the clubs involved from the group stage onwards," UEFA said. The remaining 25% are reserved for European football and staying with UEFA to cover organisational and administrative costs.

Furthermore, as in 2012/13, the UEFA Executive Committee approved a further contribution of €40 million to the Europa League club share, with funding provided by the Champions League club and UEFA shares.
