Ligue 1 : a 1:20 factor between the budget of PSG and the budget of the less wealthy clubs

€400 million budget for Paris Saint-Germain, €20 million for En Avant Guingamp or Athlétic Club Ajaccio, the factor is 1 to 20 between the clubs taking part in the 2013/14 Ligue 1, which kicks off on the 09/08/2013 with Montpellier Hérault Sporting Club facing the French defending champions PSG, on the 09/08/2013.

The budget of the Parisian club is higher than the one of its three rivals combined, Olympique Lyonnais (second with €133 million), the Association Sportive de Monaco (third with €130 million) and Olympique de Marseille (fourth with €125 million).

The €400 million of PSG represent the same amount as the sum of the 13 smallest budgets in Ligue 1, that is to say, those of Rennes, Sochaux, Montpellier, Lorient, Toulouse, Valenciennes, Nice, Nantes, Evian-Thonon-Gaillard, Reims, Bastia, Ajaccio and Guingamp.

The 20 Ligue 1 teams have a combined budget of €1.3 billion.
