UEFA: 13 candidates for eight seats in the Executive Committee, elections on 05/04/2017

"A total of 13 candidates from UEFA member associations are standing for the eight vacant positions available on the UEFA Executive Committee for a four-year term from 2017 to 2021," announced the European confederation on 09/02/2017.

Three of the 13 persons are incumbents: David Gill (England), Marios N. Lefkaritis (Cyprus), and Michael van Praag (Netherlands). Other candidates notably include the former Polish striker Zbigniew Boniek, who has now been president of the Polish Football Federation since 2012, and Michele Uva, the managing director of the Italian Football Federation.

Elections will be held during the 41st Ordinary UEFA Congress at the Messukeskus Congress Centre in Helsinki (FIN), on 05/04/2017.
