eSports: effect (energy drinks) and Turtle Beach (headphones) official partners of VfL Wolfsburg

effect, a German energy drinks brand, and Turtle Beach, a US manufacturer of headsets and accessories for to video games, have become official partners of VfL Wolfsburg E-Sport, the German club announced on 04/02/2017.

The duration of the partnership was not disclosed. effect (shirt shoulders) and Turtle Beach (shirt sleeve) are now displayed on the shirts worn by David "DaveBtw" Bytheway, Benedikt "SaLz0r" Saltzer, and Timo "TimoX" Siep, the players team VfL Wolfsburg E-Sport, during competitions using the FIFA video game.

As part of the agreement, VfL Wolfsburg (Bundesliga) will install a VfL-Gaming Zone at the Volkswagen Arena (30,000 capacity) during games days, where spectators can play FIFA 17 game and discover the equipment used by the professional players of E-Sport team, including Turtle Beach headsets. A series of tournaments for the club's fans will also be organised. In addition, effect and Turtle Beach get visibility on the LED boards the Volkswagen Arena.
