Premier League: MTN (telecom) becomes a regional partner of Arsenal FC in Nigeria

The Nigerian telecommunications company MTN has become a regional partner Arsenal FC (Premier League), announced the English club on 04/02/2017. MTN becomes the "official mobile network" of the London club in Nigeria. Neither the contract nor its valuation were disclosed.

As part of the agreement, MTN will offer its customers free access to exclusive content of club (highlights of matches, interviews, photos, articles, etc). Via the digital platforms of Arsenal, MTN may directly access to fans in Nigeria, via marketing campaigns with the participation of current and former players of the first team. The telecommunications group and Arsenal will also hold, in Nigeria, training camps conducted by coaches from the English club.

Nigeria is the second largest audience, in terms of traffic, of the Arsenal FC website, after the United Kingdom, the club said on 04/02/2017. The African country is also the second largest follower contingent of the club across all social networks, and is specifically the third largest contingent of the club on Twitter, added Arsenal FC.
