FIFA launches three Facebook pages including one dedicated to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil

FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) has launched three new Facebook pages, "expanding the organisation’s social media presence to provide football fans with further opportunities to interact with each other, and FIFA," announced the football international governing body on the 12/08/2013.

The three new Facebook pages :
- 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, covering all the build-up to, and action during, the 2014 FIFA World Cup
- FIFA World Cup, charting the history of the competition from 1930 to 2010
- FIFA, focusing on the whole of FIFA’s work around the globe.

  • During the Confederations Cup (from the 15/06 to the 30/06/2013), 30m users in 30 days visited FIFA.com, and the first competition-specific Facebook page, as well as the page for the official FIFA World Cup mascot, Fuleco, were launched.
