Belgium: League and MP & Silva launch tender for the 2017-2020 domestic TV rights to the Pro League

The Pro League (Belgian Professional Football League) and the media rights agency MP & Silva have launched the tender for domestic audiovisual rights for the 2017-2020 period to the Jupiler Pro League and Belgian Super Cup, on 07/02/2017.

"The tender document, which has been submitted and approved by the Belgian Competition Authorities, will be open to all interested parties. In the current positive environment for Belgian football, and aiming at taking Belgium's professional football to the next level, the tender strives to offer a strengthened visibility to Pro League and its clubs," stated the Belgian League on 08/02/2017.

No changes in the match time slots are planned. Six lots are on offer to interested broadcasters (these lots may be split with, in each case, to one lot in French and one in Dutch) including one exclusive lot (Lot 2) which includes all games of the Jupiler Pro League for broadcasting via internet and mobile media. Eleven Sports Network has declared its interest in the rights currently held by Telenet, VOO, and Belgacom and for the 2014-2017 period.
