Champions League: the key business figures of FC Bayern Munich versus Arsenal FC

At €592m in 2015-16, FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) posted a turnover 19% higher than that of Arsenal FC (Premier League), which generated €498.5m, according to figures from the Deloitte Football Money League 2017. The two clubs meet at the Allianz Arena in Munich (GER), in the Round of 16 of the 2016-17 Champions League, on Wednesday, 15/02/2017 (kick-off at 20:45 CET).

In 2015-16, Bayern Munich were ranked 4^th in Europe in terms of total revenue, behind Manchester United FC, FC Barcelona, and Real Madrid CF. Arsenal were ranked seventh, despite a very high mark in matchday revenue (€133.6m, second behind Manchester United in this metric).

The London club has also received more in audiovisual rights (€192m) than Bayern Munich (€147.6m). But the Bavarian club is significantly ahead of Arsenal in commercial revenue, reaching €342.6m (2^nd highest total in Europe), an amount 2.4 times more than the commercial revenue of the "Gunners" (€142.9m).
