Paris Saint-Germain - FC Barcelona (4-0), the first leg Round of 16 match of the 2016-17 Champions League, broadcast live and exclusively in France on beIN Sports 1, drew 1.605 million subscribers on average on the pay-TV channel, on Tuesday, 14/02/2017 (kick-off at 20:45 CET).

This is a new audience record for beIN Sports France, and the game also registered a peak audience record of 1.824 million subscribers. "BeIN Sports also a historical record on the digital side, with more than 3.6 million video views on beIN Sports.com," the group said.

The previous record dated from 12/04/2016, when 1.552 million subscribers on average watched, on beIN Sports 1, the quarter-final match of the 2015-16 Champions League, Manchester City - Paris Saint-Germain (1-0). The record audience of beIN Sports France had been topped in every Paris Saint-Germain match in the knockout phase of the 2015-16 Champions League 2015-16.
