Media: UK radio station talkSPORT to broadcast Premier League commentaries across Europe

British radio station talkSPORT has extended its audio rights agreement with the Premier League to enable it to offer exclusive live audio commentary of the English competition matches in any language, across Europe (excluding UK and Ireland) for the 2013-2016 period, the broadcaster announced on the 09/08/2013.

The deal includes live coverage of the 380 Premier League games every season league across Europe, and talkSPORT may also distribute its commentaries to other radio stations.

Since April 2012, and until the end of the 2015-16 season, the station, owned by Northern Irish broadcasting group UTV Media, already holds similar rights for all territories outside Europe (these rights were last held by IMG between 2007 and 2010). In 2012/13, the station offered commentaries in English, Spanish and Mandarin on its talksport.com website. In 2013/14, talkSPORT will notably add Vietnamese and Bahasa Malay languages to its portfolio.
