Liga Nos: SL Benfica launch its startup incubator, Innovation kickup Sport, deadline 12/03/2017

SL Benfica (Liga NOS) have launched an incubator event for startups, kickup Sport Innovation, on 09/02/2017. "Ten startups will be selected and will receive €10,000 in initial investment and access to a network of experts, investors, partners, and services," said the Lisbon club on 09/02/2017.

Interested startups can apply for the programme until 12/032017 on http://www.kickupsports.eu site. The support programme for startups will run for 12 weeks in the Estadio da Luz, the home of Benfica. In addition to the Lisbon club, seven other companies will finance this incubator event (list below).

"This international programme targets businesses related to medicine and performance in sports, connected stadiums, and fan engagement and entertainment. This is the fifth largest project in 15 years, after the stadium, museum, Caixa Futebol Campus (Benfica training centre) and Benfica TV," said Domingos Soares de Oliveira, the CEO of SL Benfica, on 09/02/2017.
