LaLiga Santander: more than 5.4 million viewers in Spain for Matchday 23 of 2016-17

At least 5.403 million viewers watched the ten games of Matchday 23 of the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander, played from 17 to 20/02/2017. This is the second best cumulative audience for a matchday for the 2016-17 season.

The best TV audience of the weekend was for FC Barcelona - CD Leganés (2-1), which drew 1.185 million viewers on average on the pay-TV channel Movistar Partidazo on Sunday, 19/02/2017 (20:45 CET ). This figure represented a 6.2% audience share, and ranked the channel of the Telefonica group at the top of the Spanish market for pay television for the entire day.

• Real Madrid CF - RCD Espanyol (2-0) drew 940,000 viewers on the pay-TV channel beIN LaLiga, on Saturday, 18/02/2017 (16:15). Audience share: 7.6%.

• Granada CF - Real Betis Balompié (4-1), on Spanish free-TV, drew 821,000 viewers on Gol (a Mediapro channel relaunched on 02/06/2016), on Friday, 17/02/2017 (kick-off at 20:45). Audience share: 5.3%. This is the best audience of the season for the free-TV channel.
