Serie A TIM: TWS (textile industry) replaces SuisseGas as the main shirt sponsor of Atalanta BC

TWS, an Italian producer of chemical products for the textile industry, has become the main shirt sponsor of Atalanta BC (Serie A TIM), on 17/02/2017. The contract goes until the end of the 2016-17 season, and the next two seasons (2017-18 and 2018-19). The amount was not disclosed, but is in largely based on sporting results of the Atalanta (league wins and possible European qualification), according to Italian media.

TWS succeeds the energy supplier SuisseGas, who became the main shirt sponsor of Atalanta for three seasons (2014-15 to 2016-17), on 09/07/2014. The annual amount of that contract was estimated at €1.8m. The club has decided to end its partnership with SuisseGas in advance, due to the failure of the energy supplier, in financial difficulties, to meet its contractual commitments.
