Formula 1: Mapfre (insurance) becomes second-level partner of Renault Sport Racing

The Spanish insurance company Mapfre has become a partner of the Formula 1 team Renault Sport Racing, on 20/02/2017. Neither the duration nor the amount of partnership, second level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the racing stable, were disclosed. This is, for Mapfre, the first partnership with a Formula 1 team.

As part of this deal, the Spanish insurance company gets visibility on the front and fins of the RS17, the car used by Renault Sport Racing drivers in the Formula 1 world circuit in 2017, which starts with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on 26/03/2017.

The car was presented in London on 21/02/2017. The Mapfre logo will also appear on the helmets of the combination of the Columbian Jolyon Palmer and the German Nico Hulkenberg, the two drivers of the Renault Sport Racing Formula 1 team.
