LaLiga Santander: more than 6.2 million viewers in Spain for Matchday 24 of 2016-17

At least 6.226 million viewers watched the ten games of Matchday 24 of the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander, played from 24 to 26/02/2017. This is the best cumulative audience for one round of the 2016-17 season thus far.

The best TV audience of the weekend was for Atletico Madrid - Barcelona (1-2), which drew 1.626 million viewers on average on the pay-TV channel beIN LaLiga on Sunday 26/02/2017 (16:15 CET). This figure represented an audience share of 12.9%, and ranked the channel - a joint venture between Mediapro and beIN Media Group - first in the Spanish market for pay television for the entire day.

• Villarreal - Real Madrid (2-3) drew 1.573 million viewers on the pay-TV channel Movistar Partizado on Sunday, 26/02/2017 (20:45). Audience share: 8.9%.
• On Spanish free-TV, Las Palmas - Real Sociedad (0-1) drew 838,000 viewers on Gol (Mediapro channel relaunched on 02/06/2016) on Friday, 24/02//2017 (kick-off at 20:45). Audience share: 5.3%. This is the best audience of the season for the free-TV channel.
