Chelsea FC: Christian Purslow to step down as managing director at the end of the 2016-17 season

The Briton Christian Purslow will leave his post as managing director of Chelsea FC (Premier League), said the London club on 17/02/2017. "Christian will continue to work with the club in a transition period until the end of the season (2016-17)," said Bruce Buck, chairman of Chelsea FC, on 17/02/2017.

At Chelsea, Christian Purslow was notably in charge of the club's commercial activities. He has concluded the sponsorship agreement for the Chelsea training kit with the Thai energy drinks brand Carabao (from 2016-17, £10m per season / €11.5m as of 28/02/2017), the agreement main shirt sponsorship with the Japanese tyre brand Yokohama Tyres (2015-2020, £40m / €47m per season), and the new kit supplier contract with the American brand Nike, starting from next season (2017-2032, £60m / €70m per season).
