British pay-TV channel BT Sport has agreed a partnership with Premier League side Manchester City on the 16/08/2013. The three-year agreement begins with the 2013/14 championship and runs until the end of the 2015/16 season.

The new sports channel will benefit from privileged access to the players and Citizens staff during the week and just after the matches. Reports behind the scenes and on the club's preparation will also be made in collaboration with Manchester City TV teams.

The British telecommunications group will also inaugurate a fan zone at the northern end of Etihad Stadium (53,359 seats), the "BT City Square", allowing City supporters to maximize their fan experience before and after the club home games.

Manchester City will kick off their 2013/14 season at the Etihad Stadium, against Newcastle United on the 19/08/2013. City's goalkeeper Joe Hart is one of the ambassadors of BT Sport, which broadcast on the 17/08/2013 its first Premier League fixture ever. The channel's broadcast rights include 38 Premier League games each season during the 2013-2016 period.
