Premier League: Everton partner with the British golf tournament "The Open" for the 2017 edition

Everton FC (Premier League) has partnered with the British golf tournament "The Open", to be held from 16 to 23/07/2017 at the Royal Birkdale club, announced Everton on 21/01/2017. For every ticket bought for this golf tournament between 21 and 28/02/2017 with the promotional code "146^thOpenEve" on the Everton website, fans were allocated a voucher for a special cap. This offer was valid in the UK and Ireland. "The agreement is a first between a Premier League Football Club and The Open, which will bring the world’s best golfers to Merseyside this summer," stated Everton.

The golf course at Royal Birkdale is located 30 kilometers from Liverpool, the resident city of the Everton club. The Claret Jug trophy for the winner "The Open" will be displayed at USM Finch Farm, the training centre of Everton, and at Goodison Park until the end of 2016-17 season.
