Facebook: 241,060,000 fans in total for the 20 Premier League clubs (March 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Premier League season have a cumulative 241.06 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/03/2017. This total makes the Premier League the most popular European league on Facebook, with 12.05 million fans on average per club.

Manchester United are the most followed English club, with 72.73 million fans. The club added 281,589 (+0.4%) new fans in February 2017, the month in which rival Manchester City were the Premier League club to gain the most new fans (411,987, +1.8%). The two Manchester clubs are part of the five English clubs which exceed 23 million fans on Facebook.

At 1.8% (from 1,974,600 to 2,009,353), West Ham United are the Premier League club which posted the best percentage growth on Facebook, alongside Manchester City, in February 2017. The London Stadium club became the ninth Premier League to cross the two million fan mark.
