Facebook: 68.96 million fans in total for the 18 Bundesliga clubs (March 2017)

The 18 clubs in the 2016-17 Bundesliga season have a cumulative total of 68.96 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/03/2016. The Bundesliga is the fourth most popular among the European Top 5 leagues on Facebook, behind the Premier League, LaLiga Santander, and the Serie A TIM, with 3.83 million fans on average per club.

FC Bayern Munich are the most followed German club, with 41.03 million fans, up 289,235 (+0.7%) since early February 2017. Bayern alone gained more new fans than all the other 17 Bundesliga clubs since February 2017.

At 4.6%, (from 267,310 to 279,631), RB Leipzig are the Bundesliga club which posted the best percentage growth on Facebook since February 2017. The Leipzig club, however, remain 13^th in the Bundesliga on Facebook, with 66,617 fans less than Hertha BSC in 12^th (279,631 for Leipzig against 346,248 for Hertha).
