Facebook: Top 100 European clubs with the most fans (March 2017)

With 96.84 million fans, Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) are the most followed European club on Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football which establishes the Top 100 of the most popular European clubs on this social network, on 01/03/2017.

Barcelona remain ahead of Real Madrid, who count 95.23 million fans on Facebook. With 854,815 new fans in the past month, Real Madrid are the club of the European Top 5 leagues whose total increased the most since February 2017. All European Top 5 leagues are represented in the Top 10 of the classification of the most followed clubs on Facebook, with four from the Premier League.

Three Instanbul-based clubs, Galatasaray (14^th, 13.29 million fans), Fenerbahçe (15^th, 9.93 million), and Besiktas (20^th, 6 million) are the only clubs in the Facebook Top 20 who do not play in the Top 5 leagues.

Deportivo Alavés (LaLiga Santander) are the European club which posted the best percentage growth on Facebook since February 2017 (+15.2%, from 67,140 to 77,355 fans). West Ham United became the 35^th club to exceed two million fans mark on…
