Liverpool FC (Premier League) posted a record turnover of £301.8m (€395.8m on 31/05/2016) for fiscal year 2015-16 (from 01/06/2015 to 31/05/2016), up 1.3% compared to fiscal year 2014-15 (£297.9m / €415.4m at the time), announced the English club on 01/03/2017. The turnover increased in pound sterling, but regressed in euros due to the change in pound-euro conversion rate between May 2015 and May 2016 (£1 = €1.39 on 30/06/2015, compared to £1 = €1.31 on 30/06/2016).

Liverpool recorded a net loss of £19.8m (€27.6m) as of 31/05/2016. "Despite overall revenue increasing, the club reported a loss of £19.8m for the period, mainly as a result of further investment and turnover in the first-team squad. Twelve additions were made to the first team (via incoming player tranfers)," stated the club.

Matchday revenue (£62.4m, up £3.4m compared to 2014-15) was the main driver of growth in the Liverpool FC turnover, which also saw TV rights revenue increase (£123.6m, up £1m), while commercial revenue was the only major category to decrease (£115.7m, down £0.7m).
