Premier League: EA Sports to extend its partnership with Everton for two extra years

American video games publisher EA (Electronic Arts) Sports, owner of the FIFA game editions, has extended its partnership with Everton (Premier League) for two seasons, the club announced on the 19/08/2013. The agreement runs until the end of the 2014/15 season.

EA Sports has been the Liverpool-based club's official gaming partner since 2011. It offers the fans attending games at Goodison Park (capacity of 40,200 seats) the opportunity to play the FIFA game on match days against each other in the EA Sports Dugout.

"We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Everton and especially to be adding Goodison Park to the stadium roster in Fifa 14," said EA Sports's head of UK products marketing Dan Holman. "This will ensure fans will get a completely authentic experience. We look forward to working closely with the club over the next two years," he added.

The FIFA13 video game edition:

  • Distribution: 14.5m copies sold worldwide (+30% compared to FIFA12)
  • Revenue: €151m generated through downloadable services (+94% compared to FIFA12)
