LaLiga Santander: Star (beer) becomes a regional partner of FC Barcelona in Nigeria

Star, a beer brand owned by Nigerian Breweries, has become a regional partner of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) in Nigeria, announced the brand on 03/03/2017. The duration and amount of the agreement were not disclosed.

As part of this partnership, Star can use the image of FC Barcelona for its communication campaigns in Nigeria. "Meanwhile, the club will benefit from Star activations to connect with the club's Nigerian fans," said the beer brand on 03/03/2017.

Barcelona join Juventus (Serie A TIM), Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander), Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1), Manchester City FC, and Arsenal FC (Premier League) as the other European clubs to have regional partnerships with Star in Nigeria.

Nigerian beer Star succeeds its South African counterpart Castle Beer as a regional partner of Barça

  • FC Barcelona and the South African brand Castle beer had been connected until the end of the 2015-16 season, as part of a regional partnership which applied to South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria.
