2014 Brazil World Cup: the first stage of ticket sales stretches to the 10/10/2013

The first stage of ticket sales for the XXth World Cup (held in Brazil from the 12/06 to the 13/07/2014) started on the 20/08/2013 at 7:00 am (Brasilia time, noon in France) and will close on the 10/10/2013. During these 51 days, all requests for tickets will be collected on FIFA's (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) website, FIFA.com.

These requests will be processed after the 10/10/2013. "If the number of requests received per game and category exceeds the number of tickets available, a lottery will be held to determine the applicants selected," said FIFA.

International public ticket prices start at $ 90 (€ 70) for the group-stage matches, apart from the opening match, for which the cheapest tickets cost $ 220 (€ 165). For Brazilian residents, tickets starting at 30 reais (€ 9.30) are reserved for students, people over 60 years and to beneficiaries of the Bolsa Familia social programme against poverty.
