The five games played of Matchday 28 of the 2016-17 Premier League drew an average attendance of 35,257 spectators per game, with an average stadium fill rate of 94%, from 08 to 12/03/2017. The average attendance of the English top flight is currently 35,768 fans per game on the season (average fill rate: 96%).

The other five games of Matchday 28 were postponed due to the quarter-finals of the 2016-17 Emirates FA Cup:
• Chelsea - Watford
• Crystal Palace - Tottenham Hotspur
• Arsenal - Leicester City
• Southampton - Manchester United
• Middlesbrough - Sunderland

Liverpool - Burnley ( 2-1) is, of the games played, the match which recorded the highest attendance, with 53,145 spectators at Anfield (98% fill rate). At least 53,000 spectators have attended the last ten league home games of Liverpool in 2016-17.

  • The 20 Premier League clubs recorded an average attendance of 36,409 spectators per game in 2015-16.
