"We met in recent days wiht many Chinese companies in the electronics sector, financial services, tourism," said Frédéric Longuépée, executive vice-president of Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1), and in charge of the business operations of the club, at a press conference in Beijing (CHN) on 16/03/2017.

Paris Saint-Germain are looking for new Chinese partners, while Huawei, the Chinese IT and communications group, a club partner since 03/04/2014, should to extend its contract beyond the 2016-17 season (estimated amount of €1.3m per year). "These (new) partners must allow Paris Saint-Germain to gain notoriety in the regions where the club is not yet sufficiently developed. China is one of them," said Frédéric Longuépée on 16/02/2017, in remarks reported by Agence France Presse.

The Parisian club also conducted talks for, in the short-term, the opening of training centres and a sales office in China, said the club leader, according to the Chinese media outlet Sohu.
