SV Wehen Wiesbaden (3.Liga) have launched an application to allow the club's magazine, distributed in its stadium, to be viewed in augmented reality, the German club announced on 19/02/2017. This device was developed by vivaLS, a subsidiary specialising in augmented reality, of the German agency which prints the club's magazine, Margreff Druck und Medien GmbH.

By pointing the camera of their smartphone on identified targets or advertisements in the magazine, augmented reality provides access to additional bonus content such as videos, dynamic graphics, or special promotional deals on the screen. The application is available via the Playstore of Google and Apple's Appstore.

"As a third league actor in the competition with big Bundesliga clubs like Eintracht Frankfurt or the 1.FSV Mainz 05, and with the Rhine Main area as a large catchment area for potential sponsors, we have to make ourselves stand out," said Markus Klepzig, head of marketing of SV Wehen Wiesbaden.
