Jupiler Pro League: 10 candidates interested in the domestic broadcasting rights for 2017-2020

"No fewer than 10 interested parties at this stage made their financial and qualitative offers," after the tender for the domestic broadcasting rights from 2017 to 2020 to the Jupiler Pro League and the Belgian Super Cup, announced Pierre François, CEO of the Pro League, on 20/03/2017.

The committee in charge of the awarding of TV rights will now analyse all these offers and meet with each candidate before, if necessary, a second tender for new bids. "After this statement, the final file will be presented by the committee to the general meeting of clubs with adequate proposals for the allocation of rights. It is expected that this general meeting be held before the end of April (2017)," stated the Pro League.

The domestic TV rights are currently held by Telenet, Belgacom, and VOO for the 2014-2017 period (see below) for a total sum of €70m per season.

Jupiler Pro League: six time slots per matchday

• Since the 2014-15 season, the games of a Jupiler Pro League matchday are braodcast over six slots:
