eSports: DFL launches tenders for interactive products (video games) using the Bundesliga license

DFL Sports Enterprises has launched, on behalf of the Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH, tenders for the "interactive entertainment products" for the broadcasting of sports video games and eSports competitions that use the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga license from the 2018-19 season, announced the DFL on 20/03/2017.

The offers includes a "Match Simulation" package for games that simulate a football game, "Manager Simulation" package for games centred on the club manager role, and an "eSports" package for the official competitions of players and teams in a simulation games. The eSports package must be acquired along with the Match Simulation package, said the DFL.

Media companies wishing to submit bids can register online until 27/03/2017. Documents regarding the scope and exact content of the set of rights will be then sent in April 2017 to the registered candidates.
