Anne Bulford, deputy director of the BBC, the British public broadcaster, Tim Davie, the director of BBC Worldwide (international subsidiary), and Ken MacQuarrie, director of the national and regional offices of the BBC, have been appointed to the board of the BBC, announced the British public broadcaster on 23/03/2017. Including Tony Hall, the chief executive of the BBC, these are the four BBC directors on the newly established BBC Board.

Simon Burke, Tanni Gray-Thompson, Ian Hargreaves, Tom Ilube, and Nicholas Serota are five non-executive directors appointed to the BBC Board.

A single board replaces, as of 03/04/2017, the BBC Trust and the executive committee of the BBC as the entity overseeing the management of the BBC. The BBC Board has the responsibility to ensure that the group fulfills its public service mission.
